GO RUNAR !!!!!   Love the pistol you have chosen to duplicate and can't wait to see the end result.  As much as the pictures of the guns you make, I enjoy seeing the tools and set ups and raw materials you start with.  Fantastic work!

Thanks Keb and hlane!
The lock is very similar to a Siler small flintlock, and I will use all parts from a kit ecept the lockplate. This i will make from Brass, yes why not @!*%?& it is a officerpistol ;)

I have a set of Ketland parts here with a bronze plate. This not my regular Ketland but
a small one with a double throated cock or re-enforced cock as some call it and a heavy frizzen that can be equipped with a roller if caution is used. I made a number of these over years of the "Flint Hawken"craze but they had steel plates. There are no cast internal parts for it that I ever saw and it takes a good bit of experience to make this lock otherwise. I remember making one of these years ago for someone and made a steel sleeve (bushing)for the tumbler to turn on and an impact plate for the stop/shoulder of the cock to strike on firing. It would be a neat lock for a special project and when finished, one of two on the planet.
