Rig I just finished
« on: August 03, 2012, 02:04:58 AM »
I have gotten to where I really dig making rigs.  I also am liking making plain style horns.  I still love making the golden age stuff and the engraving.  But these guys are just fun.

The horn was an older cow horn that I has, so I left it kinda rough.  I also carved the base plug with a pocket knife to maintain the same effect.

The pouch was inspired by one I saw in a museum in southwest Virginia.  I added the bootlace portion because I didn't have  a piece of leather long enough for a strap.  So like our forefathers I worked with what I had on hand.

I like that setup! Especially the "rustic" horn. Thank you. Woodbutcher

A horn makes a bag stand out and vice versa. Great set, nice work.
