Mike,

Having handled more than a few early French Fusils and having restored some of them, I must say that you have done an excellent job.  That is one of the few fusils that I have seen that actually do look and I can only imagine, feel like the originals. 

As a side note, I saw that you are in North Liberty.  I was born and partially raised in Cedar Rapids....

Im one of those that likes a gun to look like you reached back an pulled it out of time. The old but well taken care of look and as always in my humble opinion YOU NAILED IT. Nuff said :D

I've been puttin' this off for a while, but I got to say that I'm am absolutely ecstatic to  have this fusil. though I don't know much about custom guns, I do know that this fusil is so well balanced that I could tote her all day long. The balance is perfect. until now, my only experience was with my Pedersoli Bown Bess. the sighting plane is not that noticable for me, but she points so well that I don't really notice anything but the Blade.   
Sighting was pretty spot on. and the pull is perfect for me.
ignition was lightening fast.  I  think the combination of the Chambers lock and the touch hole line really work. If I were a better shot I honestly think I wouldn't have any problem taking a bird on the wing.  I don't really go in for naming my guns, but I refer to this Fusil as "Ma Belle Amie" and give it a solid "0ne thumb" up.
my last word on this is that Mike delivered a true replica but did not sacrifice his voice in  the building. I've got the best of both worlds, an authentic fusil and a Brooks gun all in one!
