Good question,
I just bought a small Siler brass lockplate, stamped inside with WK in a rectangle.

It might be William (Bill) Kennedy.   Bill did a lot of things, don't know for sure if he assembled locks.........Don

Good call Don.  I remember Billy making a few, and I do remember a small brass plate he was fiddling with for one of his pistols.  His early mark was an oval with WK inside, and later made a rectangle with the WK.

I also know he did not make a lot of them(locks)  considering the liability too great to include them with his kits.  He would inlet his pistol stocks for any lock, but would not sell the lock with the kit.

If either of you are interested in selling them, I would be interested.  I worked with Bill for a number of years off and on and considered him a close friend, and would be grateful too have one as a keepsake.

I'll take a picture of it if I can and post it here so that you can see it. Its inlet in a rifle now so I am not sure that I could easily trade it out...but who knows.

The one I bought is just a bare brass lock plate.
I'd be happy to trade you for another similarly sized brass lock plate.
