A project finished!
« on: September 01, 2012, 04:53:38 AM »

Well after many hours, I'm finally finished with this powder horn and thought you might like to take a look! __ As you can see, it is a 18th century inspired lobed style powder horn that has a heavily carved throat(neck) I did a little scratch'n on. The NA portrait is of Seneca Chief Cornplanter and I also incorporated the Royal English Crest. Kind of fancy, but fully functional!

Thanks for taking a look at it!

Rick

I really like the scrim around the lobe area.
That horn had some meat on the throat to be able to take the deep carving.

Great work !

WOW, Rick!!  That's fantastic!  Is that a hide staked out that the cief is scrimmed on?  Really neat.  Bud.

Wow, so far everyone that responds are obviously commenting on your engraving and it seems to force one's eyes away from the lack of architecture on this horn.  OMG Rick!  The engraving looks fine, but what happened to the horn from the engrailing to the tip and throat area??????????  A very, very big disappointment.  I just sent you a pm.
