I don't think I have ever seen david's work before. Very Crisp with good architecture . Love the color. I like everything except the toe plate......I hate toe plates, personal thing.

Dave....nice work on a plain gun, but too fancy to leave in the "barn".   Funny that you should do this.   I am now working
on another "barn gun", similar, but not the same....ha.   Will have a heavy butt (seem to have a lot of that in Pa.) but
will have very little adornment.  Big calibre....58...........Don

I started building that particular rifle for myself.  While it was still in the white, the current owner noticed it hanging in my shop and ask to look at it.  He came by for 3 more visits monitoring the progress of the rifle before I finally gave in to his pleading and whining and told him I would sell it to him.  As to how it handles, the large butt puts a lot of the weight towards the rear of the gun complementing the weight and length 44" long barrel.  The big wide deep grip rail on the trigger guard allows for a fantastic grip with the right hand.  It is a fine shooting and handling gun.  I wish I would of had the will power to just say no when ask if th egun was for sale, but it is hard watching a grown man cry in your shop.

Never tell a customer in your shop that you are making that piece for yourself. That translates as "it's for sale." I just say it's "for a local client." Then they'll ask for one like it and be happy.

Dave.....About the gun I am now working on.   Went over to the shop this morning and John proclaimed, "I sold the gun
already".  Holy cats, we wanted to get if finishd before John LaBellas show in Carlisle, coming up in October.  Same guy
wants another one for his son.  It,s really nice to be popular, that is unless you are 79 years old, even the days are getting shorter......ha...........Don
