RCA 1 #32 Question

In my RCA 1, gun #32, the lock shown in photo f.32d is not the lock shown in photo f.32i, which is correct if a loose copy is to be made? A modified Early Ketland with curved pan or a regular Siler with a faceted pan? Thanks, Jim

Maybe neither is the original lock.  I too have fun copying originals but I reckon that on the next gun the guy built he used whatever lock he had.

I think the Chambers Dale Johnson lock would look rite at home on that gun.

I'd use a faceted pan lock, but modify it a bit so it doesn't look like something right out of the bag.
