THis is a great example of how you can take a fairly plain horn and turn it into something very interesting and cool.  Most of us going through a pile of raw horns would pass this one up.  I am going out to the shop right now to find one and see what I can come up with.

I agree with Coryjoe. This gives me some ideas to use on a couple of "screwup" horns in the corner of my shop that didn't turn out very good.
She ain't Purdy but she shoots real good !

This one was bought to make rings from. On a whim I felt like making a silk purse from a sows ear.  Experiemented with a different technique of antiquing and was quite happy with the way it turned out. So was the buyer.

This has been a very busy summer, very hot and the air is filled full of smoke from the surrounding fires.  Cathy and I have been watering our crops more than usuall.  We are in the middle of our last irrigation cycle before the water is shut down to the canals.  Hunting season is upon us ,almost,  and we take time out for that to lay up our years meat supply. Between, Cathy, myself and our grand daughter, we scored 9 antleope tags, 2 deer tags and a cow elk.  I try to help several needy families out every year.  This year my ex SIL will be the top of the list.  His employer closed down.  Wyoming is about 3 years behind the national trend, so it is hitting here now.

After our hunts are over I will pst a few of the horns I get down.  For those interested in my antiqueing methods, the basics are given in my first book that is offered by Track.  I still have a few shop copies left for $15.00 plus $4.00 S&H, for those who would like one."Building the Southern Banded Horn"

Thank You for the compliments.
