gunmaker LUTZ

I need help on info for a rifle I acquired recently as to the origin of it, info on the maker,  age,  etc.
In question is a Pennsylvania//Kentucky style .45 longrifle flinter with GJ LUTZ crudely and deeply engraved on the top of the barrel in block letters.     The rest of the gun is a fine example of craftsmanship with relief carving,  a horsehead patchbox,  prime tiger stripe maple wood,  etc. and is in excellent used condition.
Track of the Wolf has had rifles by a maker of the same name for sale,  but will not release any info on him.
Only that he also is known as George Lutz, and G Lutz.
All research only leads to a maker from the late 1800's.   Does anyone know of a more recent maker by the same name,  or do I have an original ?
i have shot the rifle and it shoots very well.....a 3" group at 25 yards offhand ( good for me ).
I have contacted other organizations and get the 1880's reference only.

Many Knives,
George Lutz, one from Lancaster (c.1850) and one from Ohio (1883-1896) b. 1836. Some pictures of thew rifle might help. Lutz appears to be a later maker (Sellers). Possibly a re barreled rifle as opposed to cutting it down. Pictures would help.
