Nothing.  I only have one rifle with a patch box, and after it came open a time or two loosing the contents, I said the heck with it and have just used it as a place to store air.   ;D

A ball drawing set (drill and screw), one or two flints, a couple cleaning patches to stop rattling sound, a cleaning jag, and a tow worm.  No room for a snickers bar.

Jag, extractor and breech scraper for that particular rifle. Cleaning patches on top to keep contents from rattling. Sometimes add a feather, just for the fun of it.

Tow worm and cleaning tow. I'll never go back to jags and patches.

My .40 squirrel rifle has extra pre-lubed patches and a cleaning jag, my .54 deer rifle has extra pre-lubed patches, zip ties and blank deer field tags.

I carry an extra long cleaning jag that screws onto the rifle ramrod in case I have to field clean the gun.Gives me extra purchase on the rod, and a few patches to keep it from rattling around. Everything else goes in the bag.A small tin for grease would not be a bad idea I suppose.

Nothing at the moment. I may have to start though, somehow, something always seems to be missing from my shooting box. A few days back it was a ball puller, yesterday it was patch material. Cleaning patches always seem to disappear. Gremlins?

I have three rifles with patchboxes, so I think I'll store those three items in the patchboxes from now on.

Used to have a couple flints and jaw leathers, that long ago fell out when the box opened without me seeing it happen. Since then, it's been empty.

Stripped down version of the shooting tool I made for the shooting bag.  This version fits easily in the patch box and, in the small leather case, doesn't rattle around.  It gives me a ram rod "T" handle, a worm, a jag, a ball puller, a vent pick, and a brass knapping tool.  And there is room in the patch box for and extra flint as well.

Duca,

I make all the parts for this gear.  It is just a derivative of this item:
