Any one ever heard of a builder from Attica, Indiana by the name of JW Barnhart?
The rifle I got to look at was approximately 36 cal.  curly maple half-stock percussion made approximately 1837, according to the information posted in the display.  It had brass furniture and Buckhorn rear sight with silver front sight.  I currently do not have permission to post, but was curious if anyone else had heard of them.

Another rifle I got to look at was a Bixler-Iddings of Lafayette, IN  also approximately 32-36 cal. Percussion half stock with curly maple and brass trigger guard and butt plate with iron ramrod pipes.  Both are "in the black" and quite attractive and NOT For Sale.  These are in an historical display.
