How difficult is it to DIY?
i just looked at one video, and it appears quite simple: grow flax, dry it, beat the snot out of it* and shake away all the chaff. tadaa!
of course simple does not always mean quick and easy.
i'll bet i could use the same machine that crushes aluminum cans and shucks walnuts in my driveway to bust up some flax.
confirmed from the collective: A rolling pin, a plastic comb and a dog comb is all you need to process small amounts of fibre. wildfibres.co.uk
