a couple more grays
« on: November 11, 2012, 05:37:16 PM »
I did'nt have much time to hunt so I just managed to get 2 but put with the others in the freezer I've finally got enough for a good stew or dumplins. Funny to me though that when Im just out shootin an messin around I can hit a quarter at 25/30 yrds and a half dollar at fifty but I dont guess I can hit a tree rat in the head even if you would pay me. Taken with virginia 40 cal with 30 gr fffg and 380 ball and 020 pillowtick patch mink oil lubed
Nothing beats the feel of a handmade southern iron mounted flintlock on a cold frosty morning

That quarter is not about to break and run at any second. All in all, still pretty good shooting.

That's a nice pouch you have there Allen. Looks like you are having a good time down there in Alabama. Those things make good gravy and are great with biscuits. Good hunting there buddy.   Regards  Frank
