Halfstock with locked marked "James B. _____son  Pittsburgh, PA"
Anyone know who the full last name is?  This gun has alot of Bedford look
to it.  Rifle is plain, but barrel and tang are nicely engraved.  38" 32 cal.
Bore is excellent. Faux stripe.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Dear Mr. Suzkat,
Check "The Longrifles of Western PA"; Rosenberger and Kaufmann:
James Brown and Sons ( Enterprise Gun Works 1875-1883 ). Listed under Pittsburgh Gunsmiths, Gun-Barrel Mfg's, and Selected Hardware Dealers.
Nice, plain Shreck there...I like it ;D
