First Flintlock Buck

I've strictly bowhunted for the last 10 years or so, but have recently gotten back into hunting with the muzzleloader. This "Jersey shooter" was taken at 25 yards with a .570 ball, .018 patch lubed with Moose Snot, and 90 grains of 2F Goex. The rifle is a Jim Chamber's Virginia. The deer was donated to the Hunters Helping The Hungry program. It sure felt good to take another deer with the muzzleloader...it's been a while...and my first with a flinter! I have to do this more frequently

Thanks. No, I bought the rifle already built. I went to Dixon's for some supplies and this one came home with me. The price was too good to resist. I did get a Chamber's Edward Marshall kit, but am waiting on the barrel before I can start. That will be my first build.

I've been reading through the Gun Builder pages for a while, now. It's amazing the depth of knowledge and talent here. I won't be shy about asking questions at all
