Stophil Long build

Hi all,Am new here,I am after a good group of reference pics  so I can do as accurate a build
as possible using some original parts I have.This is an important build for me and any help
is really good as I have limited access to S.Longs for ref .

Hi Don,

There are two signed rifles shown in the book "Kentucky Rifles & Pistols 1750 - 1850" by KRA  and there is an attributed S-L rifle shown in "Early American Flintlocks" by Hartzler & Whisker.  Maybe these references are already on your radar?

Interesting builder of seemingly scarce surviving rifles.  I would love to see a pic of your remnant parts.  Especially if you have a signed barrel, I would love to add his signature to my photo collections of builders signatures.  tim

I agree with Tim, let's see some pictures of the parts you have.
SL's guns are few and far between, so seeing just parts would be a treat!

Great thanks for your replies and information........I will send some images as soon as I do the necessary
photos and also learn how to uplaod those images as well....or I can email direct which is easier for me
