2013 Shooting Events
« on: December 18, 2012, 01:39:43 AM »
I have started this topic so forum members can post schedules of their club's events or other events that they have infomation about.  General muzzleloading events, benchrest shoots, woodswalks, meat shoots, and shooting events at rendezvous are all acceptable for posting here.  Maybe the moderators may want to start a separate forum for this???  I will get this started with a separate post and encourage everyone to post when they have 2013 shoot information.

Please, for the heading, list the event and the state where it is located.  You will see how I have done this in the next post.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

We currently have a forum for this type of events. Here is a link to it:

http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?board=453.0
I prefer to have all the event calendar's in this area so they will all be together. I see no need to start another one.

I looked at the link and all the posts listed are in regards to shows and displays.  There are no shoots listed.  This topic is asking for a listing of shoots as there are many members of this forum who want to know where the shoots are being held and they may have no interest in attending any type of show.

Let's leave this as it is for now and maybe we can have a separate forum that will list only shooting events.
If you're still unsure about this, poll the membership to see which format will be most useful for them.

Thank you,
James

The only reason shoots are not listed is because no one has submitted any to me for posting.

I am not unsure, I do not want to have several different event forums to monitor. If you want to list shoots in a regular topic and monitor it you are welcome but I need it to be kept up to date i.e. past events deleted etc.

Forum members:  as soon as you have any listing for 2013 shoots, please post them for all to see.  Personally, I am looking for January and February shoots in the eastern Pennsylvania area.

Thanks,
James

Given the impending snow storm (Dare I say "snowpocalypse?"), wear your boots as I'm not sure whether the trail through the woods will be broken or otherwise tamped down.

It would be nice to be able to see matches on a single page by date and state.  We'll be traveling NM and CO this summer and would like to get in a few matches, meet some folks and enjoy the vacation.

IMO, those that list on here should at least mention location prominently.
Thx
