Are there any good tutorials out there on making patterns from pictures?  I want to copy a knife from Accoutrements.

Is it as simple as using a pair of dividers to transfer?

Zach,
Depending on what you are trying to make and what the quality of the picture is, I've made patterns by enlarging, or shrinking, a picture until it is as close to actual size as possible. Cut it out and often times it is all you need. You also have to have spcifications relating to size etc before you start.

Zach,
Several weeks ago I posted some info on using Microsoft Word to make very accurate patterns from digital images.  It's worked well for me and not a complex process.
