Dixon's 2009
« on: January 01, 2009, 05:11:12 PM »
Time to book this years vacation schedule .
Does anyone know for sure when Dixon's Gunmakers Fair will be this year.
Looks like it should be July 24,25,26

Thanks

Pat, I have it on my calendar as the 22 thru 27. I add a few days for mucking about, clearing the cobwebs, etc.

Seriously, when I get my notice for tent fee, I'll post it. Dixon's has always said it's the last FULL weekend in July, so I think we have it right.

Pat,  Dixon's is always the last full weekend in July.  As Tom stated, that would equate to July 24, 25 and 26.  Or...........204 more days.

Kemton, PA, just ten mi west of Allentown, PA, on I-78.

their site :http://www.dixonmuzzleloading.com/

Site not updated yet, but it will give you an idea of the Fair. Year 'round gunshop, supplies, gunsmithing services.

Dave, remember when you and Dancey got wasted, and paraded around the grounds as Lord and Lady?
No, you probably blocked that out.

Tom,  That picture is the reason why I had to go to work in DC last spring, shave my beard and lose 50 lbs.  Sort of a witness protection program.

Dave - I see you and I are going to have to have a chat about a certain mutual friend of ours and his proclivity for "adjusting" pictures whilst under the influence of Irish malt.  I'm sure we can think of something suitable in the way of retaliation.   ;) ;D

Stay tuned.  Suitable pictures of Acer to follow.   ::)

The vacation time is booked.
Plan on spending a few days at Dixon's them maybe a little road trip to Tenn and Kentucky.

Is there going to be another batch of ALR Shirts anytime soon?

Never mind about the Long Rifle Shirt question.
I just saw Mark Elliott's post and sent him an e-mail

Well, my three shirts are about worn out so I am hoping someone will get somemore produced this year. It wouldn't sdo to show up at Dixon's without a nice looking ALR shirt....How about blue or grey this year??

Geez, have barely put a dent in all the stuff I picked up last year, now I gotta start feeding the piggy bank for this summer!
