Hi Folks,
Over the years there were quite a few ALR posters asking for advice concerning jeweler's saws. I 've used my Knew Concept saw for a sufficient number of jobs now such that I feel I can evaluate it properly. Without question it is the best saw compared with 3 other types I've used over the years. Blade mounting and tensioning are easy and precise, and the saw is well balanced, light, but rigid. In conjunction with Rio Grande LaserGold blades and lubricating the blade with Rio Grande Bur-Life, I break far fewer blades and cut more quickly and accurately than ever before. I used the saw to cut inlays from silver, brass, copper, steel, mother-of-pearl, and bone with great success. The ease of mounting blades is particularly useful when cutting enclosed portions of pierced inlays. The saw is expensive compared with other styles but IMO it is worth the expense and I am definitely going through fewer blades.
