Another Banded Horn
« on: March 16, 2013, 12:50:41 AM »
This one is about 13” around the outside curve, tip to tip about 11. The horn fits inside the Apple base that is howled put about ¾ of its length, it is avout 2" and is held by 4 steel pins. The tip is a two part antler held together with 3 pins and to the horn with 3 more. The 4 rings are secured with 3 pins each. The color is AF, then a coat of light Brown oil based leather dye wiped off as soon as it was applied and a coating of Brown shoe polish.

It really looks nice Tim, the colors work well together.
Hopefully, if I can ever find the right chuck adapter, I'll try one of this style. I have an interesting idea for one.

Nice work Tim, I thought for a minute that I had one of yours just like it but mine only has a single band (ala Virginia).
