Here are two pouches I recently made, my first attempts. I enjoyed it so much I am working on new ones.
The first is a copy of the early pouch in the collection of Wallace Gusler. I more or less copied the button closure and horn attachment described to me by Mark Elliot. Thank you to Mark for your advice and assistance. The pouch is the perfect size for a few necessary items and does not get in the way. The horn and powder measure were made by Mark Ewing.
The second is influenced by a few different pouches I have seen. It is a miniature version and I made it for my daughter who is 3 1/2 years old. I made it as a study and so I could practice a few different processes, stitching, staining, dying, making flaps, etc., more or less to learn and make mistakes on.
