I have a friend who says he has a keg of fff black powder that has never been opened and it has been stored in a cool dry place for approx.30 to 40 years. I guess my question is how many people think it would still be good and approx. how much it would be worth a lb.
If you believe it has gone to rot over time, in a dry location, you don't have enough knowledge about the physical properties of black powder, to be playing with it. Hungry Horse
I think I'd want to know who manufactured it as well as grade. I don't know but the date of mfg might give a clue as to its level of quality. At any rate, if it shoots at all it's worth using.
