Jaeger Rifle, I need help!

Hi,
I am attempting to build an American style Jaeger rifle.
I say American style, as I have a very (very) curly maple stock, and a round face lock.
The stock wood is to die for!
I have several pictures of stocks (from the internet) but cannot establish the wrist to butt.
The barrel is a 44" swamped .75 cal.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like you mean a very early American-stocked rifle using European parts.  The Marshall rifle is a good place to start.  The Fessler or "musician's" rifle is another that comes to mind- American stocked longrifles with strong Germanic styling and Euro-style furniture.
