On Thursday last the 8th current, stolen out of a ship at Long New Wharf, King-street, Boston, a new Fowling Piece, about four Foot and an half long, upon the Barrel R. Lumbart. And the same upon the Lock. And R. L. upon the Thumb Piece of the Stock. Whoever shall bring the said Fowling Piece to the Post Office at Boston or give any true Intelligence of it, so as the true Owner may have it again; shall be sufficiently rewarded besides all necessary Charges paid [Boston News Letter, 5 January 1712].

The Lumbart name is well represented in Boston and a bit later there was a Joseph Lombard (1768-) who was employed at Springfield as a abrrel welder. But I cannot locate any Lombart/ Lombard whsoe first name begins w/ R. Neither can I locate any R Lumbart in my limited European sources.
