Carving information.
« on: May 09, 2013, 05:27:22 PM »
For newer and younger rifle builders who are interested in the tools and method of carving longrifles. I found this book at a book sale here in Texas. Chapters #1- Tools and Work Space,  #2- Sharpening, #3- Woods and Finishes, #4- Design and #5- Relief Carving. Total of 12 Chapters  contained in 215 pages. Very detailed in chapters listed. Soft cover. " How To Carve Wood" by Richard Butz, published by The Taunton Press. Worth the time to locate. AJ

I have found most of the books from Taunton Press to be very informational, though a bit on the expensive side they are well worth the price.
