Your photos and drawings are terriffic, you are very skilled, AND you are very generous with your time. You are a teacher, my friend. You know the language of tools and machinery. English? Not so much.
But the drawing speaks all languages!
I just died from amazement.

This serpentine is to hold the match?
And there is also a pyrite holder? Matchlock AND wheel lock in one gun?

I understand breechloading, yes. Snap match, yes. Wheel lock, yes.
Self-span, no, I do not understand yet. I can wait until you have made the parts.

Self spanning... when you actuate the wheelock cock it both resets the lid of the pan and causes the wheel to wind... at least that is what I understand from the discussion on facebook.

Screw slots look too modern. The rest looks antique, made in another century, in a different world.

Raz, you have such amazing springs. Do you forge them, then anneal, file to shape, then harden?
