made a few bags
« on: July 16, 2013, 10:50:52 PM »
been sewing on a few bags lately, opinions and criticisms welcome.
first one is an elk skin single bag with a hemp strap,it has been sold. the other two are both doudle bags made of waxed heavy wieght linen canvas. the darker one is lined with pillow ticking and i paired it up with my Jeff Bottiger horn,it will go with my smoothbore. the beaver tail bag i must admit i tried to copy from one i seen on the Contemporary Blog spot recently,it is lined with a light wieght wool flannel and sports a horn of my own making. think i am going to pair it up with my .40

The first one is my favorite.

Nicely done!  I like them all.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Of the three the beavertail bag catches my eye the most. It has the just right look in my opinion.

I like them all, but am probably more attracted to #2.  I like the color and the horn that you have with it--nice work.
