Whispering Pines Rondy

Rondy was held last weekend.  A lot of hootin and hollern as Roger Fisher would say.    Boy, does his absence make a hole on the firing line!    Everyone was commenting.

78 primitive camps.  128 shooters registered.  I say shooters but a few kids signed up to compete in the hawk throwing contest.  However that is about 20 more total than last year.  While most talk of being down, we have had an increase over the last couple of years.  Having an NRA YHEC club in the area helps us some.     One young man in the junior agg scored 144 with 3x's!  One of his targets was  a 50.    Kids and those young eyes!!

PA state shoot this weekend at the "pines".

That is great to hear. Many of the clubs have had small turnouts than years past. I myself have been away from shooting and have just gotten back into it last year.(was out making country music with  my wife) I used to come down to the Whispering Pines Rondy and always had a great time. It's been over 10 years that I have not  been there. Maybe next year I will be back there.
