Alabama State Shoot
« on: October 03, 2013, 07:32:18 PM »
The wife and I are just about to head south out of Tennessee to the state shoot at Brierfield Iron Works State Park. The folks down there are as nice as you would ever want to meet and certainly know how to run a good shooting match.

I'm not sure if I'm lookin forward more for the shooting or the big feast on Saturday evening. I think this year it's going to be a fish fry with all the trimmings.

Just a heads up on the date of the 2014 Territorials. It will be on May 2-4. contact Margaret Millican. 205-629-7192. It is also in the Feb. issue of MuzzleBlasts. I'll be there to shoulder some rifles and maybe get a stock or two. I'll really be looking for some cherry to put a Rice "B" weight .40 cal. into.

What a bummer! :( there is going to be NO vendors at the Territorial just shooting, there goes my quest for a cherry or walnut gunstock :(.  Can anybody float me about a $500.00 loan to get me up to Friendship this June?  ;D.
