Conner Prairie - Arts & Arms Workshop

I attended the 2013 Arts & Arms workshop at Conner Prairie (Fischers, IN) last week. What a great facility and opportunity to study with some of the best artisians. I took Ken Scott's Leather Working session this year, and it was an excellent time of learning and instruction.

Their Blacksmith shop is just outstanding, with 10 forges and anvils available.  Check them out if you are lookihng for top-notch instruction at very reasonable tuition expenses.

Conner Prairie is a treasure. I haven't been there in more than a decade. It's a bit of a trek from the west coast. I first went there after a visit with Karalee Tearney soon after Pat's death. I hadn't heard of the place. I had to modify my travel itenerary, and was glad I did. Go there, even if it's always 1837.
