When those pics were taken, the parts were numbered, and that's how Reaves keeps track of them.  that's a number three guard, but what school Reaves will have to tell you.  It's his method, and madness

I believe the 3rd from the left with the reverse spur is a #16 German Long Jaeger.

Yes, its the one with the reverse spur.  I haven't been able to locate another one like that without the finial.  But if I can get ahold of him this will help.  Thanks for the help

It's not just brass, everything has gone up.  Steel has gotten ridiculous.   Also,  I buy these 53" wide rolls of paper for photo backgrounds.  They have been $24-$26 for as long as I have been buying them.  I just bought another roll and the cheapest I could get it was $35.   That is just a roll of black paper!   The only thing that has gone down is price is silver.
