Built by B.J. Habermehl of Central PA:  54 cal. Left handed Early Lancaster with GM Barrel, Tiger Hunt stock, Chambers Lock.  Will try my first shots in the next couple of days and will put up a range report.

Looks sweet from here.

Is that a rust blued finish on the barrel?

Thanks fellas.  Yeah it is browned but always comes out a bit blue for him.  I love the color on it, and the way the wood tuned out.  The pictures do not do it justice.

Looks nice - good calibre and good barrel-- should shoot really well with a good combination.

Thank you guys....it has a straight sided barrel but it handles and feels like it has some swamp.  Just feels "right.".

Just like someone else I know... Got myself involved deep with two boys and a hunt.    So, the range trip yesterday was shotgun patterning for Turkey.  Hoping for next Sunday after chasing turkeys! ;D

After three bouts of illness(on the fourth now), finally able to get out for real to start the rough in.  Previously, I had taken two shots at 50 yards and was off paper....wind blowing every necessary accoutrament off the bench that was not nailed down, and ran out of time.  So, went home and shaved off all that I dared of the front sight.  Went back out today and decided to start at 25 yards.  The balls were stacking right on top of each other, so she is a real shooter.  With the sights at the same heighth I am still 3-4 inches low at 25 and about 8 inches low at 60 yards.  So, back to the range for some more shooting and filing, but having lots of fun.  I have decided that I'm in love ith Lehigh Valley Lube.  The amount it reduces fouling and shortens cleanup seems dramatic to me.  I got virtually no buildup at the breech as well.
oh yeah....sighted in my sons renegade at the same time with lots of problems but finally got it going .  Lesson learned....one new rifle at a time!

It may sound a little odd, but zeroing in and working up a load I like for a new smoke pole is one of my favorite things to do.
