Are these off a shotgun or what?

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

I'd say early cartridge shotgun. Break-open action. Black powder shell era.

The one on the right looks like a Remington Model 1889 hammer in unfinished condition.
Could be from something else, there were so many guns made at that time especially imported ones.

My guess is those hammers are Belgian. I have a matched pare of Remington Whitmore hammers, that are of similar design, but not exactly the same.
