Horn W/Four Bands
« on: January 15, 2014, 06:05:06 PM »

The first pic is a before shot, somebody had painted it Blue. Trimmed up it is about 12 ½” around the outside curve, the base is Apple and about 2”. The tip is of two part antler, 3 pins hold it in place, the bands are also held in place with 3 each. The body color is AF with Brown shoe polish over it, the bands were heated in some
left over dyes, I call Brown.

A beautiful horn Tim.  It's hard to believe that horn was hiding under the finish of the original horn.

Yup! I like it Tim. Good save as it has a nice curve. Who'd have guessed?

It takes vision to see that end product in what you started with.
Really nice

Wow. That could have been used to help illustrate the Sibleys' book. Outstanding eye!

Tim, that horn now has all the qualities, very impressive.  I placed
it in my "favorite" file.  ;)  Tim
