Netted Game Bag

This bag was on the blog the other day. I have a few more pictures of it with the lid down and thought I would post them here for anyone interested.
I used raised embossing on this pouch. This technique involves raising the leather in form from the back and then detailing from the front. The "hollow" in the back is then filled with a hide glue/leather scrap mixture to retain shape. This bag has a removable net bag that is backed in linen. The netting front was made by my friend Steve Radosevich in Montana.

Absolutely Brilliant !!

I wondered what they did to ensure the raised embossing would hold up.  Thanks for the explanation.

 Saw it on the Blog and thought it looked good, with the extra pix it looks Grand. Your stitching, seams and attention to fine detail really stand out, Very well done.

Very, very  nice. The embossing is especially nice. Great workmanship from every aspect.

Wow! This is now my favorite bag ever.

I really like the removable game bag. I think I'm understanding the center strap/buckle setup, but can you tell us about it?

Thanks gentlemen. I was fairly pleased with it. It is a pretty huge bag.
I will pursue more intricate embossing in the future.
shreckmeister, "mirrored cyma recta"? Or as I have always called it....... a wavy line.

I find I have used that simple feature on a lot of my projects in the past.

Fantastic workmanship on this bag.

I've been wanting to try my hand making a game bag like that.

not sure how to construct the netting.
Does anyone know of a tutorial on how to do the netting?
