Anybody got a hammer for a t/c Cherokee rifle. I recently bought one on an auction web sight and the shipper managed to  break the hammer off during shipping, thanks in advance.

Check with Ed Cain  304-375-7842---he has some TC parts and could have the hammer.  He is also building replacement barrels for the Seneca and Cherokee.

For reasons unknown, the little T/C hammers were harder than glass.
I used a lot of them on a percussion pistol lock project for a German shop
in the 1980's. Les Barber made a mould for these and had some cast from
8620 which solved the problem. Trying to adjust the strike of these hard
hammers by flexing them ANY at all is a guaranteed broken hammer so
the new made ones from 8620 are a big help.
