Cathy doesn't do much beadwork, but she did this Choctaw styled horn strap for me.  Here also is a banded horn I recently made.

 Great horn, the turnings are very well done. What kind of horn is going to go with the strap?

I am thinking a St Louis styled Buffalo horn. A friend sent me a photo of one on a Choctaw Strap from a museum.  I have to get real motivated to tackle one of those.  I have 3 to build and can't get myself into the mood.

  That would look great with it, they are a challenge. I have liked this one since the first time I saw it, would like to find better pix of it, looks like some of the panels are missing. Wondering what that hole in the top panels is for, a strap attachment of sorts?

yes, some kind of attachment.  That is a neat horn.  Its the fitting of the pie shaped bone and horn pieces that are the challenge.  They fit 100% or they don't get an" attaboy" award
