I finished this horn a couple of days before I left to attend the Honourable Company of Horners annual meeting and show in Carlisle PA the first weekend in March.  It was awarded the blue ribbon for best contemporary engraved powderhorn.

Questions, comments and critiques cheerfully encouraged.  Thanks for looking

Fantastic. And I took note that the horn was ENGRAVED, not "scrimshawed."  ;D

Even though I am not into the contemporary styles, I will have to admit that there is nothing on this horn that I do not like. Everything is just...WOW!

Yep, me too. Mark, that is fabulous work. I especially like the engrailed edge. Beautiful work.

Fantastic  work, Mark!  Wish I could have been at Carlisle to see it in person. I am sure it is 10 times better than the pictures. Congrats on the award.

Mark,

Since you did such a great job on the Eagle, Globe and Anchor - I was wondering if you have ever tried the Continental Marine Emblem as shown in this link?

Artificer,

No I haven't but it's cool and I may yet get an opportunity to use it.  Thanks for the tip.

Everybody...thanks for the kind words.  I'm glad you liked the work.
