Lyman breech plugs

Hi Guys

  Was reading somewhere folks were asking questions about removing Lyman breech plugs, and he was warned not to remove them by Lyman, says they are Machine installed and torqued. Friends I have pulled breech plugs out of just about everything except a Lyman, how can this be so incredibly difficult. Is this just a liability issue or are these pressed in.
 I am just trying to understand what the deal is here.  Thanks for taking the time to read my maybe foolish question, But I got's to know!

I've done it and had no issues. Tight but threaded like any.

TCs were done this way and the section of the plug between the end of the barrel and the threads was heavily stressed and some did break off when people tried to remove them.
Don't know about Lyman.

It's not really BS,, you said it right here;

I don't know of any factory built rifle where they'll tell you to just go ahead and pull the breech plug any time you want,,? Or give you instructions about how to go about doing so.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone needs to pull it?

Like TC, It's a prioritized thread,, it's not common,, you can't look in a Track catalog and order another breech plug that will just screw into the barrel

 You are right, there should really be no need to pull it, But when I hear it can't be done , it get's my attention, I was wondering what kind of magic Lyman/ Investment arms were using.   " Liability " that I can understand!  Thanks

Both my 1" factory T/C Renegade barrels are 11/16-20 and both 1" GM LRH drop ins for the Renegade are 3/4-16.
