Small Southern Horn

Small Southern Banded horn it is 11 1/2" outside curve .. Has a hollowed out maple base that has a diameter of 2 " the tip is antler and two parts has three bands one at the base and two on the body . this horn is see thru So up in the air about aging it ..perfect size horn for them squirrel  rifles ..

Very nice. Does look a little white though. If the horn is thin enough you should be able to darken it some and still see the powder, think?

I don't usually comment on accoutrements - simply enjoy the presentation and live in envy.  But this one is outstanding to my eye.  We like it.

rub a little burnt black powder residue on it and some dirty greasy hands will put the perfect patina on it. Hey send it to me and I will be happy to work on the patina for ya!

I wouldn't worry, if he is like anybody else I know it will be black and grungy if he uses it.
