Another OOPS
« on: May 25, 2014, 08:52:42 PM »
I have seen quite a few longrifles that have been misidentified as to maker's here on the internet. This one from a very reputable seller seems a bit unusual. Anyone have an idea as to the Bedford maker of this rifle? http://www.michaelsimens.com/antique-guns-swords-and-artifacts-for-sale/kentucky-rifle-for-sale-peter-berry.html

My guess is that he was thinking of Peter White and goofed up the last name. Shelby Gallien

I like guns that are "untouched and straight out of the woods", that have the barrel shortened by 5" and have a dab of putty here and there.
