See the thread over on the colecting contemporary forum on this board. There is some very good info about the parts that are available to build Hawkens and how they compare to the parts I used. Good stuff and a lot of histoty.

I personny wanted to build an accurate a copy as i could and i wanted to build a rifle that was worth more than the price of the parts when i got through with it. I guess what i am trying to say is i wanted a Hawken rifle not a rifle that looked similar to one, if that makes sence to you.

I personally felt the price of the parts was worth what I paid and if I were going to build another I would not hesitate using these parts again. Of course a lot depends on the customer, but i always try to get them to lean as much toward the quality side as possible.
