Thanks for the info on Mt. Vernon museum. I've no idea where it is though.
The pull on this one is 13 1/4" and the weight is close to 14lbs, finished. It is holdable but I wouldn't want to carry it around all day. I mounted sling swivels because of the weight factor which should help.

The Mt Vernon museum is at Mt Vernon, Virginia you know, George Washington's little farm on the Potomac  ;D

FYI, there is also a Mt Vernon in Iowa, New York, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Washington, Maine, Missouri, South Dakota and Ohio. There may be more that I'm not aware of, too.
