If you get time everybody needs to look at the John Barret horn on the Contemporary Makers site. Fantastic. The coloring and carving is out of this world.

Sometimes I look at engraved and carved horns and think about what Allen Martin said about some gunmakers--they need to know when to stop. In this case I'm REALLY glad he DIDN'T stop! Wonderful and imaginative design.

I see this craftsmanship and curse myself for having so little talent. Sometimes just tying my shoes is a chore. Thank god for Velcro. LOL
