A project idea
« on: November 18, 2014, 05:55:02 AM »
I have templates for most of the guns (VA fowler, SW VA, E TN, Early & Late Rockbridge, VA, Early & Golden Age Lancaster) I have made; stock templates and mount templates (guard, butt piece, thimbles, nose piece, patch box, side plate, toe plate, inlays).    I have considered transferring everything to paper, scanning them and publishing them as .pdfs.     I figure that I would sell an archive file with the .pdfs for $20.    You could get them printed at your local Kinkos or other printer.

Would this sort of thing be of any interest to anyone?

I'd be very interested in .pdfs of the templates for your iron mounted Virginia chunk gun (#12). I have a 48" barrel on order and a template for your gun would get me started off in the right direction!  Great project idea - count me in.

I would be interested.  Even if I don't build one, the drawings would be a prize in their own rite.

Mark,

As, mentioned previously, they would be nice to have even if one never builds a gun from them.  I'd certainly buy them and I suspect they would be popular.

Hi Mark,
Do you have any templates for military muskets? Specifically
Short land and India pattern Besses. If so, I'm interested.

Thanks

I am not taking orders yet.  I am just trying to figure out if it is worth my time to do.   Maybe I will start with one rifle and see how it goes.

An Early Rockbridge? That would be a good one to start with.
For me anyway.

Mr Elliot,
Being from this area, I would most defiantly be interested! I have always wanted to build a rifle representative of my region and this would be something I would use to great benefit!
