That tip the other day you told me about, sure saved a lot of expletives.  Annealing that 22 gauge welding steel, allowed me to get the radius for the 1/4" thimbles easily.  I did as you said, and annealed twice before trying to shape them.  It really softened the metal.  That stuff seems to be work hardened right from the mill.  I'm going to anneal the thicker stock I'm using for the side plate, it should help with the sawing, and maybe save me some blades.  Also the large penny, and the ramrod will be in tomorrows mail.

You are welcome.  Glad it worked out.  Annealing really helps when making something like a 1/4" thimble.
