The bed spread should satisfy any kids dream.  The rifle would make any ML hunter happy.  Nice.

Would be nice to have a 20 gauge barrel to go with it.  To me the wrist should be longer, I can't really tell from the angle.  It should be a great hunting rifle.

What is the drop on that stock? Looks pretty straight in the photo.

Drop:  I'd say 1 3/16" at the comb, and 2 5/8" at the heel.  And I agree, the wrist could be longer...would have given the butt stock a little better architecture.  Thanks for posting this:  It's always a treat to see other's work.

That should make a good deer getter. I've got a fine little hunting gun that Bama built for me. It has a Rice 31" .58 cal. on it and weighs 6 1/2 lbs  but no sling. I've tried 100grs 2fg goex and prb and received a pretty good thumping....manageable though. I field tested it on a Tennessee whitetail with success having elected a somewhat milder load of 3 drams 2fg.
Flintlock is the only truly reliable source of ignition in a muzzle loader.
