Two old military pistols...?
« on: January 28, 2015, 05:50:14 PM »
I recently aquired two old military pistols that are in ok condition, I guess.  I might have paid al ittle strong, but I really like US military items, and especially black powder.  I try and collect Springfield items and though these are not made by Springfield, I have been told they were designed by Springfield.  I would welcome ant comments.
I would attach photos but cant tell how to do it??
One is a US Model 1836 flintlock made in 1838.
The other a US Model 1842 made in 1851.
They are both complete and functional, but have seen hard use, and not very good care it seems.
