A flat horn with a twist

Made this one a month or so ago so some of you may have seen it but I thought I would share it here. I flattened this horn with the curve still in it and then put the facets on the sides. I did a little Dutch style polychroming and used curly maple for the base. As I started doing the engraving I dropped the horn and cracked the tip so it actually has a two piece applied tip. it is about 10 3/4 in. long and 1 in. thick. I also made the drawer pulls that are shown on it. I hope you like it and all comments or critique are welcome.

I love this horn Ron. I know it was a challenge at first but it came out well. I also like the scrim. One of your best.

Thanks everyone. This one started out to just see if I could flatten a horn with the curve in it and the more I worked the more it seemed to take on a life of its own.

That horn makes me smile in a really good way. Very creative. You should be proud of that one. Best wishes, Marc
